Comments: I agree with everything on this petition! However, keep in mind that Mayor Emanuel has launched an attack on all of those who serve the City of Chicago. Where it is having an immediate impact is in low income and middle class neighborhoods that need city services such as Chicago Public Libraries open after school. This is where Mayor Emanuel has failed us. Children need a safe place to be able to study or just feel safe since most go to the libraries and parks after school because mom and dad are not home since they have to work two jobs. One more thing. When Democrats stop acting like Democrats and more like political centrist catering to the few Tea bag republicans in the city of Chicago who are Democrats going to vote for? Let me remind the mayor that this is not NewYork a traditionally republican city this is Chicago and we are Democrats. So act like a Democrat and stop putting the burden on the middle class! Register to Vote! Occupy a ballot and not Wall Street and let the Democrats know the rich have to pay their fare share!Flag -

Name: Tracy Brown on Jan 16, 2012Comments: I am frustrated about what Rahm is doing to our jobs here in Chicago. I am so sick and tired of our jobs at Chicago Public Schools being cut and him taking our 4% cost of living raise away. We as employees of CPS work extremely hard with our students and make a difference in their life day after and we are getting treated so unfairly by our new mayor.Flag

Name: Jonathan Matheis on Jan 28, 2012Comments: Your decision to radically reduce the opportunities of people of color in lower to middle class families only serves to strengthen the gap between the "haves" and "have nots". I must admit that as a resident of Illinois, I am deeply disappointed that a democrat of your stature would serve as a medium for harming working class Illinois families.Flag

Also consider the service that we provide to all the children, parents, and seniors in the great city of Chicago. We hope you will continue to support the members of SEIU and all unionized workers.Flag

No matter how hard I work, make progress with the students and the teachers. Some high archy is always choosing my fate. And it usually is not good. Hard working citizens educating children, or helping to educate the young minds of the future, should never worry if they are going to be employed or not each year.Flag
