We, the undersigned, insist that you immediately stop the development of the Caracol Industrial Park in Haiti. On January 2010, already poverty stricken Haiti was hit hard by a devastating earthquake. following the earthquake there was a big international support to help the people of Haiti; up to 5.3 billion US dollars was donated to the Haiti Relief Effort. This money was supposed to go into decisions and plans that directly improve the conditions of the Haitian people. Unfortunately Bill Clinton and the reconstruction commission have made some bad decisions such as stealing fertile land from Haitian farmers and opening up Caracol Industrial Park which houses sweatshops in Haiti. Solutions should focus on the core problems in Haiti. According to the CIA website, poverty, corruption, and poor access to education are among Haiti's worst problems. There are still 400,000 Haitian's in camps, so build homes. Build schools, not just for children, build schools that teach adults skills that they can use to provide for their families. A body of the people; by the people; for the people:
