Every year millions of sharks die a slow death because of shark finning. Shark finning is when someone cuts off the fins of sharks and throw their still alive bodies into the ocean. The sharks either drown, starve, or get eaten by other sea animals. In Asia the fins are used for shark fin soup. Most sea animals are becomeing extinct and there are about 350 different species of sharks, but the population of each species is unknown.
