The lead in DSEG seems to think it is ok to send out a barrage of test e-mail messages from a system that is not production ready to the entire DSEG team. This has several adverse affects: They are considered spam, they are a distraction during the work day, and they are a waste of company resources (Exchange server resources, employee mailbox space, network bandwidth, employee time to filter through and delete them). This petition is to get the DSEG lead to recognize that this is not a practice we wish to see continue. There are tools in place that allow him to send the test messages to only his account. Or even only the accounts of those currently involved in the development of the script that is generating the test messages. Only once it is ready and approved for production usage should it then, if appropriate, be sent to the entire group.
