Most campuses, like I've mentioned above, now have a security guard or armed police man. But, if a shooter, or shooters, were to enter the building, would one be enough? No. One guard could easily be shot and leave the entire building unprotected. This is why we need to get, not only more than one security guard on each campus, but they must be armed to be able to effectively protect the school.

Most importantly is a mental health program in schools. Most school shooters have been found to suffer from some sort of mental health issue. This is the major cause of these shootings. Students spent a great amount of time in school and identifying any issues and working on bettering them now will prevent even greater tragedies then any security measure could.

Sign the petition so that your child's school can receive the necessary funding to not only implement more armed security, but to establish a mental health program to prevent any more shootings like what has occurred at Columbine and Sandy Hook.
