The North Highlands Antelope Soccer leauge has allowed to be formed a soccer team called "The Euros" which appears to be comprised exclusively of children of european descent.
While I do not believe that they have intentionally formed the team to promote racism, the team name and lack of diversity makes leaguemates and their families feel excluded because the team name seems to advertise that the team is exclusively for children of europeam descent to the exclusion of all other races/cultures/backgrounds.
Please sign the petition if you feel that allowing a racially/culturally segregated team to play under a name that excludes other races/cultures such as "The Euros" is inappropriate for a youth league, especially considering the history of a European "Master Race" etc and the lasting racially/culturally divisive scars that it has left behind.
I belive that allowing a segregated team and allowing such an inappropriate name for the team are acts of ignirance and insensitivity on the part of the North Highlands Antelope soccer league. Please sign my petition to let the NHAYSO know that this type of cultural insensitivity is inappropriate in a youth league and needs to be rectified.
