WE SAY NO TO PESTICIDES!!! We the undersigned residents of Hopatcong, Sussex County, NJ are opposed to the use of any pesticides/insecticides or genetically modified Bt agents for any mosquito issues that we might have. We urge our elected officials and public servants to seek safer NON-CHEMICAL alternative approaches to our mosquito problems. Pesticides are known to be harmful to people, bees, pets, birds, aquatic life, and other animals, and the environment. Where substances are known to have the potential for health and environmental damage, they should not be used. Until safer alternatives are found, the residents listed agree to be placed on the Sussex County Mosquito Control "no spray" option for their yard. This is an option provided by the county to any residents who desire not to have their property sprayed with pesticides.
