This petition has been created to raise awareness and put a stop to the needless losses of all the animals lives due to overfishing. It is estimated that 8-25% of the total global catch is either dead or dying. That is equivalent to about 27 million tons of fish each year. And not only are fish endangered, but other sea animals are too. Each year, along with the 27 million tons of fish, about 300,000 whales, turtles, and dolphins get tangled in the fishermen nets with no way to escape. With signing this petition you are agreeing that fishermen need a stronger enforcement on rules and regulations as to how much as well as the method in which they catch their fish.
