NATIONAL Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has explained that the N4,000 fee imposed on prospective corps members for printing of call-up letters on-line was for services and infrastructure to be deployed by the collaborating firm.
Messrs. SIDMACH Technologies Nigeria Limited chaired by Mr. Michael A Olajide , for the full computerisation of the mobilisation process.

I am sure Michael Olajide did not pay a dime to receive his call up letter as a prospective corper in his youthful days.

We should not allow NYSC fleece poor graduates on the notion that it wants to improve the infrastructure required for prospective corpers.

According to Federal Ministry of Finance budget for 2013, NYSC was allocated a handy sum of N78,091,415,092 (http://www.budgetoffice.gov.ng/2013-budget_details/3.%20Summary_Youth%20Devt.pdf).
I am sure Our dear Finance Minister took into account the logistics involved in producing call up letters when these calculations were made.

If the NYSC needs more funds for its infrastructural development, it should request for it from the FGN and not from the poor graduates that are about to enter into the world of unemployment and job search.

We request that NYSC should provide us with an online page were we can securely access our call up letters and print at a reasonable cost in any cyber-cafe, home or office.

Sign this petition, we need to get this petition out to GEJ else this will become another source of recurring income for these corrupt Directors at NYSC.
