Name: Anonymous on Nov 29, 2012Comments: I thought I would like this new look, but have had a TERRIBLE time with it. I am a VERY careful email user, as I am in technical support. When people don't get my emails, I get into TROUBLE. I NEVER had a problem with this until the new design, but now I have to double-check that my email has been sent because I have found no less than 4 emails have, after I am SURE I clicked "Send" have landed as a draft and not made it to the recipient's mailbox! I could pass this off as my fault if it was once, but not 4 times in two weeks, and the last time it happened I was being extremely careful and know I pressed send. Luckily on the last "sent-draft" was caught within seconds and sent again! Not to mention the weird compressed margin errors that appear when I compose in that little window (looks so un-professional!), and the extra time it takes to get an email with complicated formatting done as I am having to smack more than one button to get to the formatting tools (petty, but when you send this many emails a day, it adds up)! Please be very careful when making these monumental changes to email- we live and die by our gmail! Don't make me use something that makes my life harder!Flag

I can view my inbox in another tab-- I don't need everything crammed into one small space. Maybe this works fine for people on desktops with giant screens, but what about those of us on laptops?Flag

Name: Stijn Hommes on Mar 29, 2013Comments: While the new compose feature offers full screen composing, it requires you to do so by performing additional clicks and or keystrokes. As any designer should know, default behaviour should by easy to perform. You need additional keystrokes, for canned responses, spell checking and composing in a full window just to name a few...Flag

Name: Carroll Smythe on Apr 3, 2013Comments: The new format is horrible, I am sending e-mails all day long and want a fuller screen to compose in. As I'm writing, I have to keep scrolling down to review what has already been said. Guess it's time to switch to a new provider, one that understands the process and allows choice up to the end user. This reminds me of the government....always gumming up the works.Flag
