Following the Canterbury Earthquakes of 2010/11, the University of Canterbury was affected, as was the rest of the region, in a negative way. Student numbers have dropped, buildings have been damaged, and morale is low. The way forward, however, is not to attack and effectively disestablish the Bachelor of Laws at the University of Canterbury, as the University seems hell bent on doing. We need to protect our future, and our Law Programme at Canterbury. Signing this petition shows that you are against: The Law Library being disestablished. Consultation with students regarding changes to the LLB being completely disregarded. Hard-working Law Staff being turfed from their building. Any changes to the programme that effect the integrity of the degree.
