Save Loma Miranda (Miranda Hill) in Bonao, Dominican Republic from being mined by Xstrata Falconbridge corporation. Mining of Loma Miranda would be a repeat of the devastation this mining corporation has caused at its previous four sites, Loma Peguera, El Verde, Ortega and Ponton. They poisoned the surrounding lands of those hills over the course of 40 years to line the pockets of multinationals; such devastation and greed is enough proof to stop the mining of Loma Miranda. Help protect the source of water of the lower Cibao region that hundreds of farmers depend on for the irrigation of their crops by signing this petition. There is no environmental benefits to mining Loma Miranda but only the sure destruction of the areas ecosystem.
