This is a petition to NY public schools to rid of "mid-winter" February recess and give the children an additional week during their summer break. Students are just coming back from a Winter/Holiday break and preparing for state testing, an additional week mid school yeardoes not seem needed for students or faculty. Having an extra week of summer and outdoor play would seem much more reasonable and consistent with an already shortened summer.
