Livejournal has always been controversial in terms of its changes, but one can say that they've gone a bit too far this time. There are needless changes, such as the ability to be paid to promote an entry, along with changes to user interfaces and other elements that make it borderline unusable and confusing. In addition, the recent changes to things such as the Livejournal Friends page may actually be harmful to certain computers. Naturally, Livejournal doesn't seem to be listening to the criticism it's received, pinning blame on the customers instead. But I think something needs to be done, at least before spring when the changes are implemented.
