Many people who have a voice and an opinion cannot make the city council meetings. This petition is to give a voice to those persons. Say no to higher rates for water. This essential element necessary for life must not be used as yet another weapon against the poor and middle classes. This increase will create more austerity, depressing our local economy even more. People should not be punished for conserving. City governments focus must be to protect and insure the well being of Breathing people, conserving resources by properly managing all development requirements, both commercial and residential. The City must take action to ensure that new and redeveloped projects conserve and use our resources in the most efficient ways. Not double the rates causing hardship for many.
