TO: Florida House of Representatives Criminal Justice Subcommittee, Health & Human Services Committee, Judiciary Committee. In the Florida Senate it has been referred to Health Regulation, Judiciary, Budget, Rules Committees.

I believe the state of Florida should become pro-active in the many benefits that medical cannabis provides such as jobs, state revenue, lowering the availability to young teens, and of course first and fore most is extraordinary medical purposes. I have a 35% disability in my right arm in witch I was prescribed a number of medications such as xanax, ocycodone, & soma as most know these are powerful narcotics with devastating side effect that I faced first hand, I have found safer and more effective way to treat my physical pain and stress with the use of marijuana with fewer dangerous side effects that you would find in FDA approved narcotics, however Florida law prohibits legal use of this drug witch takes away our right to a safer alternative (cannabis). I believe we should have the right to possess this far less life/health threatening drug for medical use that treats a long line of medical conditions with out the life threatening side effects or dependency of commonly prescribed narcotics that have become an epidemic and known for crime manifestation ,abuse , and record death tolls.

CANNABIS also will provide one of the strongest fibers known to man HEMP the production of hemp could produce jobs and out standing revenue for the state of Florida easing Florida's economic distress . Florida has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. myself along with many others believe the legalization of medical cannabis in Florida would not only provide revenue within it's own industry but many others as well such as shipping ventures, farming, medical facilities, fuel production ect. . dispensaries that distribute medical marijuana to applicative patients would provide millions of dollars to the states health care industry and the taxes paid by the medical cannabis industry could provide for education, construction, public assistance, and money that provides for small business grants/loans witch will decrease Florida's unemployment rates, this will save our communities and the homes of hard working Americans that have been deeply impacted by the current rough economy (unemployment).

legalizing cannabis will minimize the black market influence.

with proper regulation of this highly beneficial medication will reduce crime making it pointless for illegal drug dealers to continue killing ,extortion , and funding illegal operations putting a huge strain on illegal street gangs who will use their earnings from cannabis for weapons and a number illegal operations that harm our country and our beautiful state of Florida. putting state regulation on cannabis will pressure the black market thus reducing the availably to this drug to young teens that have no medical use for cannibals this is an outstanding way to reduce irrational crimes committed by young teens that have no business for the use of marijuana unless for medical reason approved by a health care professional
