This particular abuse of power is merely a representaive factor in the leadership that currently is in power in the United states. It reeks of everything we abhor in the United States from our leaders and lawmakers. I understand now, why Americans are hated by our international friends. I understand now why we are thought of as "The Ugly Americans". The entitlement of this group of people has reached a level of disgust from anyone that values morals and integrity, and as an American Citizen, I am embarrassed that they have represented themselves as such. I bear no resemblance to these people as an American, and I do not want them to continue to represent me as such. They have committed a crime of which they should be held accountable. This is outright GREED and CORRUPTION at the expense of many innocent people. Please make these people accountable for their crimes.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 6, 2007Comments: Honorables, I as an Aruban, feel very betrayed on how this event has been playing on American TV, which Aruba also has access to. I feel very sorry for the family for what has happened to them while their daughter was on our island for vacationing. I was part of the searching teams and was many thousands of other Arubans, and citizens from all over the world who has made our island their second home. However, as the weeks and months passed, we have seen the grief turn into hate and revenge and even greed. I can assure you that our island has done the outmost to help in the case, Aruba and the rest of the Dutch Kingdom has spent thousands of manhours and millions of dollars in the search and investigation in this case. Even though, the island has been slandered on national TV, in media, tabloids and still on the internet, I feel proud of what I have done and what my island has done for this case. Eventhough there is no evidence of a crime and the kid is still missing, many people has tried to move on, still thinking on the family, but the constant threats against the Arubans on part of a group of people who slanders the island on the internet every single day, it is impossible for us to do so. I sign this petition based on the recent discoveries and based on what the former chief of police told the media on how the Regional FBI chief has acted in the case. I want an answer too, for what happened on the island, being it a murder, kidnapping, insurance scam or just runaway, I think I am and the island of Aruba and the entire Dutch Kingdom are entitled to the truth. The emotional pain and monetary loss afforded to the accused families and the people of Aruba is unconscionable. Justice and truthfulness should bring peace to those who have been unfairly treated. The U.S. has an obligation to investigate any wrong doing concerning this matter. It is a very poor reflection on the U.S. if this issue is not openly resolved.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 7, 2007Comments: I truly hope you to take this petition as an earnest request to research possible wrong-doings in the investigation of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, as I am totally disillusioned & disgusted that the FBI attaché in Barbados thwarted any attempts by the ALE to question the family of Natalee Holloway. I feel that an obstruction of justice may have been committed by this attaché and that by not supporting the ALE to further investigate plausible questioning of Natalees family as to what could enlighten the ALE to another scenario other than the Twittys claim of Joran & the Kalpoe brothers kidnapping, gang-raping and murder. We are very much aware that in the US that the family is always the first to be suspect and questioned, yet the ALE was stonewalled by our own representative in Barbados and it angers me that money & power speaks more than possible truth and justice. I travel to Aruba every year and truly love Aruba and the people of Aruba and I am very embarrassed and disgusted that our representatives to Aruba and the US Media have misrepresented and possibly hindered investigations that should have been looked into because of possible deceptions on the Family side and making us look like Ugly Americans. Something has not been right from Day1 and I feel further investigation requested by the ALE of the Family was right and justifiable.Flag
