Name: Meghan O'Neil on Feb 12, 2013Comments: I am a vegan so am therefore opposed to animal exploitation of any kind. I do believe that using rabbits for food is also bad for business. According to the American Pet Products Manufacturing Association, rabbits are the third most popular pets in the USA after cats and dogs; there are HUNDREDS of shelter and rescue organizations across the nation that rescue rabbits. What would stop these restauarants from drawing the line for cats or dogs? There are plenty of rabbit people who now live with rescued former "meat" rabbits who were clearly traumatized for life by their experience in rabbit mills. I will make a point to let everyone who I come in contact with know that these restaurants are frying up adorable little bunnies who are slaughtered before they even reach adolescence after being raised, transported, and slaughtered in horrific conditions. It's like eating Thumper, the Easter Bunny, Rodger the Rabbit, or Bugs. That's a lot of people to alienate and it's bad for business.Flag

Name: Patricia Nelson on Feb 12, 2013Comments: It is past time that restaurants help to reverse the declining health of Americans by serving healthy, plant based, no meat foods. Meats, including rabbit, cause disease as proven by many studies, including the most recent conclusive study on the subject, The China Study. Supporting the meat industry, with its horrific factory farming methods, its profits over people attitudes, is also cruel and inhumane. I recognize that including rabbit on a menu is a ploy to interest customers in using your restaurant. However, wouldn't you rather be a restaurant that promotes health with its foods, rather than planting seeds in their customers --with each rabbit meal--that causes their disease later? Please do not put profits over people's health. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.Flag

Name: Suzy Courage on Feb 12, 2013Comments: barbaric practice, unhealthy for the mind and body of both animals and humans. Parts of Mexico still eat rabbits and it is not because they are hungry. We all must become civilized and stop eating all dead animals and dead creatures of the land and sea.Flag

I will never patronize these restaurants or any that serve rabbit and I will tell my friends. NO animal is ours to torture, slaughter or eat.Flag
