Don't get me wrong, I like Madden, but I believe the series has reached a pinnacle of receptiveness over the last few years.  I think it would be best for the series that it get some competition.  I absolutely loved the NFL2K series back in the day and believed it to be the best football game at that time before 2004 came along and EA bought all the rights to the NFL.  When you think about it the NBA2K series completely demolished the name that is NBA Live and EA went running scared.  If they want to prove that they make the best football game they should drop the license and let others get their chance to prove they can make a great football game.
