DWP is at it again, raising it's rates of what it charges DWP customers claiming that DWP needs the funds to maintain their equipment and the DWP infastructure. Question: How is DWP raising their rates helping the economy and it's customers, it's not. People that are unemployed or on disability and senior citizens that are on fixed incomes cannot afford the onslot of DWP continually raising it's rates. There needs to be an investigation into the city council that approves these rates hikes as it seems that there may be kick backs from DWP to the city council or the members of the city council that make up the majority that vote to approve the rate increases. This petition is calling for citizens of Los Angeles county and out lying areas that DWP covers to step up and tell DWP that we are not going to take or stand for any more rate hikes. If DWP needs funds as they say they do, then maybe their higher mucky mucks need to take pay cuts like every one else is having to do or being forced to do. There also needs to be cross trade between DWP and Edison to allow their customers to choose who they want service from to allow DWP customers to chose service from Edison and visa versa for Edison customers to choose service from DWP.
