Attention fellow citizens of Douglas County, OREGON...The Landfill Fee Ordinance Passed. (Fee to be determined during future meetings).

The Illegal Dumping is Out of Control right now in our Beautiful Woodland/Forest & Park areas and it will get WORSE with Imposed Fees! If The Commissioners and other Elected Officials took a Pay Cut, maybe Fee's won't have to be imposed.

All three Commissioners as well as everyone else in the room at the time of the last meeting (4/15) had AGREED the Illegal Dumping Would Get Much Worse After the fees are imposed! (County Commissioners are blaming the Last 30 Years of poor planning and a lose of revenue, all on the federal and state governments).

The LACK of accountability for Our Counties Budget is appalling! Our actual "taxpayer" $$ (property taxes, fuel, etc) don't do squat, and were shown as 50% of the County Sheriffs current yearly budget. (The sad thing is those charts can be drawn up a thousand different ways depending on how they want to tell the story). Unfortunately, money is the driver of our Entire Society.
