October 30, 2012 – The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) has agreed to acquire Lucasfilm Ltd. in a stock and cash transaction. Lucasfilm is 100% owned by Lucasfilm Chairman and Founder, George Lucas. STAR WARS: EPISODE 7 feature film targeted for release in 2015. Disney also announced plans for two more sequels which are expected to be released in 2017 and 2019, respectively. There have been debates about the quality of the second trilogy (episodes I, II & III) but if you agree that the Star Wars saga is over, join me in protest against this abomination.
