The state has finally moved to break these agreements and pull back from the national standards. This fight has taken a toll on all of us but at least we reached the finish line. Stay alert because we must ensure the local oversight we fought for is actually implemented.

The fatigue of this fight is setting in but we are nearly at one thousand signatures. Please keep pushing because we need a massive show of force before the state office can no longer ignore us.

The path forward is long and often feels exhausting. We need a final push to reach our first milestone so we can prove that Tennessee residents are watching closely.

Don't add stress to the learning process with Common Core. Get the federal government out of education. The public education system is a failure. High school graduates are unprepared for college and must take remedial classes to catch up. This is inexcusable.
Common Core seems to be well-intended, but it just doesn't work for everyone. I've seen instances where the teaching method used makes things way more difficult than they should be. Please stop Common Core before it robs our children of the desire to learn.
There are many frustrations in dealing with Common Core, including extreme errors in the math curriculum, even on the teacher's answer key. I hope this curriculum is removed from our schools and a better choice for our children implemented.
Please reconsider Common Core. It is bringing students down to a common level of mediocrity. The associated PARCC Test is costing millions which could be better spent on direct needs such as up to date textbooks and technology needs.
I oppose the common core for both the data collection and the catering to the average student. As someone who was always looking for a challenge when I was in school, I feel that the better than average students will suffer by not being properly challenged at their level.
We do not need common core.
This is not helping my child. Common core is hurting my child's self-esteem. And make a happy, bright child feel overwhelmed and uninterested in learning at all.

The control of what is taught in our schools needs to be decided by the State not the Federal government. It needs to be a curriculum designed by teachers and educators who have training and experience with children. The children are not lab rats.
