THERE IS NOTHING "common" in COMMON CORE ... this is dumbing our children down making them go in circles to answer a simple subtraction problem is ridiculous and unnecessary

I like my free time. The only thing I looked forward to doing this summer was no testing no studying and now theyre already worried about NEXT years testing! Stop the Common Core, stop the FSA, and bring all of the kids in Lake county their 20 minutes back! Also Im in 6th grade and I learned a lesson which was an 8th grade lesson LAST year. Itll be on the FSA but it wont count. Its really frustrating when you re taking a test only to find out some of the questions dont count! If it doesnt count why put in there? To waste our time? Whats wrong with you guys? Kids want a life too you know and they want to spent time with their parents and vice versa. My name is Justin McLees I go to ERMS and Im in 6th grade. All Im asking is a simple thing please stop the common core and stop testing us with the FSA. All I want to do is live and be a kid not be a kid who spends all his childhood studying for tests and not being able to enjoy my life. Please do what can to minimize the testing, Im begging you. Email me back asap please

It is big government, top down, control of schooling, (training not educating), that sacrifices individualism for the sake of the collective.
Local school boards have zero control of content, even though it is billed as “voluntary”.
It is a usurpation of rights reserved for the states.
Costs are estimated to be $16 billion with 90% paid by the states and we have NO say in what’s being taught.
The data tracking requirement from K through Career is an intrusive violation of the privacy rights of our children and their parents.
It is a deliberate dumbing down of our children as shown by performance scores that have steadily deteriorated since the inception of the Department of Education.
Standards are so low that 2 PhD’s serving on the committee refused to sign off
