Name: Andre Champagne on Jun 13, 2009Comments: The government should NOT be bailing out companies, running companies or punishing private businesses. Many of these local dealerships are successful and have many people depending on them and from what I hear they have nothing to do with the bottom line of GM or Chrysler. Family fortunes & dreams are being crushed by the very government that is suppose to be protecting them. This is not what our great nation is about and not why it was founded. We need less government. I will not support any politician that has anything to do with raising taxes, TARP, bailouts or expanding the government.Flag

Name: Mike Downing on Jun 14, 2009Comments: Business schools as well as any "sales & marketing" expert knows one must have a large sales footprint to maximize sales. "Government Motors" is not doing this. "Government Motors" can incentivize the best dealers and disincentivize the poor dealers to accomplish their goals rather than laying off people when the unemployment rate is already 9.4% and climbing!Flag

Name: Dan Denno on Jun 14, 2009Comments: I feel it is totally against the constitution to do this and I am totally against it. Unfortunately for these dealerships, there are many of us who have decided that we will never, ever buy a product from a goverment controlled enterprise. This will cause more pain to these dealers even if they can fight off the government madness going on now.Flag

Name: Marilyn Walker on Jun 15, 2009Comments: Consider the reputation that Saxon Auto World has in Elk River, and that closing this business down would only take a reputable business away from the public that depends on them. Think of all the employees that would be on the unemployment list and would/ may be on the foreclosure list. It is not a win/win situation.Flag
