When users find defects in their purchased Cisco software, unlike Apple, Microsoft, HP and other software manufacturers, Cisco refuses to make software updates available unless they purchase expensive Cisco service contracts generally known as SMARTnet.

Software Defects are Factory Defects that should be fixed with no strings-attached and at no extra costs to everybody that has purchased Cisco software.

Let's put an end to Cisco's malpractice of No SMARTNet = No Software Updates, so that the Internet services market can be open to free and fair competition.
