Stop Low Apprenticeship Wage!

11 Signatures Goal: 1,000

The national minimum wage for an apprenticeship is £2.68 an hour. The national minimum wage for a 16 year old worker is £3.72. How can HM Revenue & Customs have a national minimum wage to avoid underpayment and cheap labour, yet think it is acceptable for apprenticeships to earn so little, (regardless of age in most cases too!)

An apprentice is doing the exact same role as any other work, working the same long hours, using the same tools, softwares and dealing with the same everyday tasks, yet they are paid significantly less, with little recognition and are victim of tedeous tasks which normal workers tend to avoid or "pass the book" to the newbies!

Sign the petition to stop cheap, child labour.
