Several incidents occurred in Cardiff where Taxi Marshall's abused their positions. They are acting as Law enforcement officers. Stopping intimidating taxis drivers; asking for their badges. Ordering taxi drivers to take heavily drunk people or people with food. Threatening them with revoking their Taxi Licence by reporting them to The Public Protection Committee if they don't take them. Thus putting taxi drivers Health and Safety at risk. A taxi driver is responsible for his/her own Health and Safety. He/She has to make that call of judgement not a taxi Marshall with no training and no enforcement power.
They also work together as a family unit ( Father, son, cousin, etc...). Thus acting as witnesses for each other against Taxi drivers.
It is high time we stop this and The Public Protection Committee regulate them properly. They have to be accountable for their behaviour.
