To all of you who have tried to travel on a London bus when its raining, late at night or you're really in a rush only to have the bus driver tell you that you aren't allowed to buy a ticket as you have a note or need change from your coins... please sign this petition. Why are Bus drivers allowed to choose what they consider to be suitable money? Yes they need to take time to give out change but MONEY IS MONEY. If its legal tender we should be allowed to use it. Too many lazy and mean drivers are putting people at risk making them leave a bus at night. The commute is miserable enough without also being thrown off 3 buses as notes arent accepted only to have the driver say we should ask random strangers on the bus for change. This is a SERVICE we should be able to pay with LEGAL MONEY at any time.
