Name: R & A Humphries on May 4, 2012Comments: Why waste excellent farmland on Lowehill road. Which has an inferior road ie width, and judging by the way people use it they must believe it is a motorway.Which should bring road traffic safety into it. There is already a building project going on; on the Whitchurch road which is more suited. More homes, more children, more traffic, more waste..where will all this end..Flag

Name: Mrs P Rogerson on May 5, 2012Comments: This is a cloak and dagger plan We as residents of the hill haven't been informed of these plans and if we had would have told the council that these fields prevent our homes from flooding and the road is already a accident waiting to happen and how con the schools accomodate more children when they are already full. There is no need for these houses.Flag

Name: Shane Rogerson on May 5, 2012Comments: no to the building of these house. Value of our home reduced, enviromental impact is a concern as a lot of wild life on these fields and the roads a dangerous already and I don't want to be looking over a building site for years to come. Wem can't give jobs to people who already live here so how can it sustain a further influx of residents. big mistake.Flag

Name: June on May 19, 2012Comments: I lived in Bailey Close and Lowe Hill Road for most of my life. This field is prone to flooding and there have been enough photos of the floods on lowe hill road, the school and pyms road most winters. To build on yet another flood plain land would not only pose an issue for the homes to be built on there but it will also push the problem elsewhere. Not only is this the issue, the impact on habitat and wildlife will be devastating.Flag

Name: Justine Coombe on Jul 9, 2012Comments: It is a poor piece of land to build on due to high water table, flooding, ecology (Great Crested Newts are Nationaly protected), existing utilities crossing the site, disposal of foul and surface water. The massive increase in traffic levels would cause road safety issues to pedestrians and present residents accessing their drives, as well as increase noise pollution. Generally Wem does not have the infrastructure to support this level of developement - schools, doctors, roads and sewerage are all at breaking point presently. This land should not be developed.Flag

Name: Olwyn Chapman on Jul 12, 2012Comments: Agree with all 4 poiints above. Wem is not big enough to susbtain 340 more homes. means 1,200 more residents. Resources. Shops Schools. Lowe Hill Road land floods. The road iis narrow. Very busy road. A nightmare outside Adams School morning and evening, with parked cars and buses. Enough is enough. Go and pick on somewhere else. Needs to be on a main road with easy access. We do not need any more houses, and only people outside Wem come and live here because it is cheaper than down south etc. Lets get real about this be realistic. No enough is enough.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 12, 2012Comments: All of the above 4 comments. Not enough medical facilities. Doctors, dentist district nurses midwives etc. Not enough school places at Thomas Adams and St. Peters. Not good public transport. Not enough Supermarkets to sustain the town. People already shop outside Wem because it is too expensive.Care of the elderly. We already have a town too big for its facilities. Can't buy clothes in Wem even essentials. Houses along Lowe Hill Road prices will fall through no fault of them. Are you paying compensation. No.No.No.No.No. Go elsewhere with your big ideas.Flag
