Many people can not afford nor have ability to have a cell phone on a contract. The best option is to purchase pre-paid cell phone service. This helps because it's the most convenient and affordable plan. But, when phone companies realize they have too good of a thing, the companies become greedy, increase prices, and forget the reason pre-paid phone plans were created. AT&T is now stating that data packages will no longer be available for Smartphones on the $50 plan beginning June 20, 2013. Data is not just for fun and games, but I use it for my phone's gps which has to use data, and finding phone numbers online in case of an emergency. The great thing about data plans is that customers can pick a plan from three different price points starting at $5. Please don't let them raise the prices and take away data plans for pre-paid users. Our money is just as good as contract customers.
