I am writing this letter in order to petition for law to protect animal being in Indonesia based on the cruelty, mistreatment, poisoning and abuse towards animal in Indonesia. Since people do not understand about this animals. I grew up in a house of people that love animals and we have experienced the abuse of animal in our home by this kind of people. Long time ago, we have cats and dogs. Our cats were kidnapped and return home without teeth and not long after that she went back home to Creator and our dogs were bully by kids thrown rocks and yells at our dogs until our dogs barks at them. Although the dogs are calm, but continuous abuse and mock can make it aggressive. This kind of environment does not health for society to grow up with. As I quote from Mahatma Gandhi:“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated…I hold that, the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by [people] from the cruelty of [human kind]” From prophet Mohammed:"“A good deed done to an animal is as meritorious as a good deed done to a human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is a bad as an act of cruelty to a human being.” From here, it can be seen Indonesia need law to protect animals in Indonesia for the good of society, government and for The Holy One. As The Holy One create them not to be abuse, but to be treated well. As a result of this situation has gone dire. I belief, should urge Mr. President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to accept my petition to provide law protection for animal being in Indonesia to live without harm and can live properly as it should be.
