Everyone, we need your help!! Just when you thought the City of New Orleans (government) couldn't stoop any lower, they hit yet again! I was contacted by one of the homeless individuals we had help with our "Grace to the Humble" Food/Clothing Drive. Apparently, the City of New Orleans will be removing all homeless individuals and their belongings from under the bridge with garbage trucks and New Orleans Police Department. This is so disheartening!! Due to overcrowding, most of the individuals who live in the tents can't live in the shelters. To make matters worse, a lot of individuals informed me they would rather live outside than in the shelter because of the filt and lack of hygeniene. Most of the individuals leaving in the tents do have employment, but don't have homes! Unlike popular belief, the majority don't want to be homeless. So, we are rallying up troops to stop the "Ordinace Pusuit to the City Code Section 146493!" We need everyone with a pulse to call the Mayor's Office at 504-658-4900 tomorrow morning to voice your compliant! There was millions of dollars distributed to many of these shelters, but yet it's not being trickled down to the homeless. Please join us in this effort! We will be contacting the Media as well!!
