This is a signed agreement amongst current and former players of the intermediate basketball team over the last three years. We all agree that removing Anson Wells as the head coach of the St. John Intermediate Boys Basketball team is a mistake that must be corrected. We all believe that this is will lead to a unsuccessful season; thus, damaging this teams newfound reputation that has taken three grueling years to build up. The following players will refuse to participate in practices and games for as long as Anson is not the coach: Each day, we will hold out as a united team, until our coach Anson Wells is reinstated as the intermediate head coach. As the coach Anson not only taught us the game of basketball, but code of ethics as well. He unified the team through the three years in position. At first the team was dissembled and argued at every chance. He changed that. He enforced team rules that revolved around brotherhood. It no longer was about any individual, but us as a team. Any time fights would break out at practice, consequences were suffered. He made us respect each other in ways we never had before. His punishments were not just polite suggestions, they were codes of behavior and those of us that ignored them payed through punishment. And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for He. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.
