Name: Kristle Statham on Jun 12, 2011Comments: My brother in law lies in an unconscious state in a CTVU unit at our local hospital since this past Friday. They say he will never recover. He took Ambien, as prescribed by his physician. They have taken his life. Please warn every single person you come upon, that this medicine is a DEATH PILL. If you want to sleep, you will. And you may not wake up!Flag

Name: Amie Tang on Jul 30, 2011Comments: Agreed, beause i am the one who suffer from the side effects of stilnox, I am an addcit on and off during the last 15 yease. Lack of reference n mis-understood makes me step into the trap of medicine n become an addict. I tried many times to get rid of it, but life is too many pressure n couldn't found a right way to face it, just want to sleep to escape from the career, family n love matter"s failures. I can't blame any body<, because there is no one to force me to took it. But hopelly, our suffer can give more information of the side effects, but not just take it like candy.Flag

Flag

Name: Not Known on Nov 11, 2011Comments: Stilnox has been the only relief of about 3 years of insomnia. And just because one or two people who we don't know exactly how they took the drug did some crazy stuff lets ban it for everyone. Right!!!! Get real millions of people around the world use stillnox or sorts every night. Claiming your stats of how dangerous this drug is is misleading. Let's ban alcohol first. Then you can make a real difference. More people die if it every day then have die of stillnox in a year or even more. Reality check please!!!Flag

Name: Joedee on Dec 9, 2011Comments: My doctor prescribed Stillnox, I googled it and found out about Mairead. So, so sad, I'm so sorry for her family and for her. Surely every doctor in Australia knows about Maired, the drug company knows, the newspapers know so why don't the users know? If my GP had said 'I'll give you stillnox to help you sleep but be warned you may find it hard to study as your short term memory could suffer and you could feel groggy the next day, after taking the pill you may go into a deep sleep but carry on as though you were awake and do things such as drive a motorcar and yes you could crash or have unprotected sex with anyone you come across while sleep walking, you might even turn against yourself and try a bit of self mutilation. To sum it up I'm giving you a pill to help you sleep but it could also cause you to die, end up cripple, catch an STD or fall pregnant, slit your wrists and fail your studies. Also if you have children clearly they could be put at risk by this brilliant drug.' I'd tell my GP thanks for being honest but you can keep that stuff, I'll just get a packet of Restavit over the counter and wake up a little groggy but safe and without blood on my hands (or my children's). Why is it always money over morals these days?Flag

Name: Koreen Sutherland on Jan 24, 2012Comments: This drug should definitely be taken off the market. I used to take half a tablet, and even that causes terrible personality changes. I have a friend who's been on it for years and her husband as well, and they have both turned psychotic. I've never seen such changes in personality for the worse. Their marriage has disintigrated, and they both blame each other. I blame the TERRIBLE drug Zopiclone (imovane) for their personality disfunction and their problems..Flag
