Retire Green Bay Packers #84 (Sterling Sharpe)

21 Signatures Goal: 100

To Whom It May Concern: We the undersigned feel that Sterling Sharpe's number, 84, should be retired permanently by the Green Bay Packers organization. Sharpe is arguably the best single-season wide receiver since Don Hutson, and perhaps in franchise history. He broke the record for most receptions in a season twice in two years. His 1992 and 1993 campaigns made him the first ever receiver to have two consecutive seasons of 100 receptions or more. In 1992 he also completed the receivers' "Triple Crown," that being receptions, yards, and touchdowns. His career was cut short by a neck injury during the 1994 season. He undoubtedly would have been a member of the Packers' Super Bowl teams had he not suffered said injury. In his seven seasons, Sharpe was elected to the Pro Bowl five times. Sterling Sharpe is arguably the second most important Packer of the past fifteen to twenty years. Thank you,

Retire it NOW!! Sterling deserves it. Retire the #5 for Hornung and #80 for Driver as well. Perhaps even the #30 for Green and #25 for Grant maybe as well.
