We need your help! A group of community leaders, educators, parents, and business people are applying to the Cobb County School District to open a free college preparatory charter school.
Our goal is to provide a safe environment in which children will achieve academic success through a strong curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (also known as STEM) that our children need to succeed. This school’s unique academic approach will create a hybrid program that fuses the arts, humanities and hands-on learning into the traditional STEM program. The school will be tuition free, and will be open to school children who live within the Cobb County Public School District.
Pending approval of the charter, the Academy will open in the summer of 2012 for grades K-4, expanding one grade level per year to become a K-8 program. Please sign the petition below so that this new charter school can become a reality. Please note that by signing, you attest that you are an interested community resident or the parent of a school-aged child who could benefit from this opportunity, and you support the mission of this school.
Becoming involved early in the establishment of STEAM, you will be privy to information on enrollment and potential lotteries.
