   Comments: Though I did not major in history with the idea of teaching, I found professional fulfillment in service as a public high school history teacher for nearly 25 years. Now a curriculum writer, I still find joy in sharing my love of learning. I have volunteered in many capacities over the years on behalf of my four children, two of them adopted, and now delight in my grandchildren. My goal for retirement is to spend more time volunteering.

   Comments: I am grateful to the Ursuline community, and privileged to be part of the class of 1972 at the College of New Rochelle where I learned the values of service and community leadership. I majored in psychology, minored in education, and retired from a successful 37 year teaching career as a reading specialist and elementary educator. I am married, have two wonderful sons, and two talented, bright young granddaughters with whom I am able to share CNR's values. I spent two and a half years as a primary caregiver for my dad (now deceased) and was unable to attend our 40th reunion. I am proud that my grandmother, mother, aunt, and cousin attended CNR before and with me. Thank you for your dedication and service to the generations of women at CNR.

    Comments: A grateful and proud member of the Class of 1972, the Ursuline traditions of service and living the gospel shared with us by teachers, administration, and friends at CNR continue to shape me as a Franciscan woman religious today. Angela Merici's admonition to "act, believe, do your best, and hope" was lived by the Ursulines we knew in school and continues to serve as a watchword for the courageous women of today. I thank you for who and what you are.
