The Air Force and Navy have an attic for their Enlisted members E-5 and below why can't the Army get on board with this amazing source that benefits it's members? Out here in Hawaii with cost of living so high it's a source desperately needed as evidenced by the magnitude of Army members and family members that have gone over to the Air Force and Navy Attics already for shopping and donations.

A Soldier’s Attic would offer young soldiers and their families a place to pick up household items, clothes, and toys for children free of charge. New Soldiers just starting out could appreciate what the attic has to offer. A Soldier’s Attic would also be a great place for the Post to support Soldier’s. Also, a Soldier’s Attic could serve as a great way to enrich the lives of the military community. It can provide Volunteer opportunities that can help Soldier’s work towards the Outstanding Volunteer Service Metal.
