We, the fans of the series "Star Driver" recognize the fact that Bandai Entertainment will no longer be releasing anime on DVD's or Blu-rays. We are saddened by this news in general, but also by the fact that Bandai currently holds the licence for North American distribution of Star Driver. However, as supporters of the Anime Industry, both in Japan and domestically, we strongly encourage Aniplex (which holds the right to the series in Japan AND which provided the subtitles for the internet streams on Hulu and Crunchyroll) to release Star Driver with an english dub once the licence with Bandai has expired. We, the fans of Star Driver wish to congratulate the Japanese studio "Bones" for doing a magnificent job creating this anime. It is an series while, though not perfect, is still enjoyable, and fun to watch. We would also like to thank Bandai and Aniplex for bring this series to the US, on physical medium (DVD's, Blu-ray's) and legally on the internet, respectively. We also recognize the impact that the ending of Bandai releasing of DVD's and Blu-ray's will have on the anime industry. We are saddened with the effect that this will have on the employees, contractors, studios, and the actors, directors, scriptwriters, etc. who make the english dubs of the anime we love possible. We also recognize that the industry feels like that it's getting difficult to know which series they release on physical medium will be successful. Let us then, help them out by pledging this: "If Aniplex (or another licencor) contracts with a studio and releases an English dub of Star Driver, we the undersigned, pledge to support and BUY the DVD's and/or Blu-ray's that this licencor shall release to the North American market." This will be good not only for the companies involved, but for the actors, directors, script writers, etc. of English language anime, many of which we have grown to love, and some of which we've even been privileged to meet at Anime cons, Sci-fi cons, and the like. We make this pledge, not only to offer a helping hand in a time of need, but also to allow for them to create another great product for which they take immense pride in being a part of.
