Comments: The developers introduced their plans for the proposed development of Mitcham's Corner both as a "Celebration and as Regeneration of Mitcham's Corner". In fact it offers absolutely no improvement to the area and there is so very much opportunity that it seems they are going to completely ignore it. A building of this height and mass dominating the CONSERVATION area would not enhance let alone compliment the surrounding buildings (which is required by any new development to a conservation area). The architect of the development clearly has no imagination whatsoever. The proposed building would be totally overbearing and unacceptable. Allowing it to proceed in its current form would be desastrous.

Comments: This a terrible plan creating an overlarge and hideous structure which undermines and threatens other users of this area..We live near and know this.

Comments: Allowing a building of this height and mass which would dominate Mitcham's Corner, a CONSERVATION AREA, would ruin an important gateway into Cambridge from the North. It would be a disaster.

Comments: The proposed scale and height is not appropriate for the location. The planners should work to come up with a strategy for this area as a whole before allowing piece by piece isolated developments to go ahead. There are a number of issues with Mitcham's Corner that needs to be resolved to improve the area. The proposed development does not address any of these issues.

Comments: Surely this is an opportunity to give Mitcham's 'Trauma' - a 60s (?) example of urban racetrack - a more pedestrian and cycle friendly layout, with a much more pleasant appearance for residents?

Comments: Planned building is too high, too massive and too ugly. Any building on this site must complement the surrounding buildings.

Comments: Plans are totally unsuitable for the area. Contradicts all to do with the meaning of "conservation area", the proposed development is too high, to massive and extremely ugly. The planners need to rethink this one from scratch. Try again and try to get it right.

Comments: This is entirely the wrong type of development for this area. Mitcham's Corner is totally inappropriate for such student accommodation and the only shops that would be used in this area are the existing ones. Planners must reconsider a suitable development taking all aspects into account and KEEP THE PROPOSED BUILDING TO A SENSIBLE SCALE.

Comments: I fear the proposed development will increase the amount of traffic in an already busy intersection whilst reducing the number of parking spaces available. These factors combined with the poor cycling skills of most foreign students will certainly add to the risk of accidents.
