On 2/12/10, So. Sub. Humane Society (Chicago Heights, IL) rescued 53 small breeding dogs from an unheated shed in St. Anne, IL. The dogs, owned by twice-convicted animal abuser Patricia Gorecki & her sister Karen Brownfield were suffering from respiratory infections, eye infections, urinary tract infections, uterine infections, and even a shattered leg that was never attended to. They had fleas, ear-mites, worms, and urine burns on their paws. Their feet were splayed, due to living in cages with only wire floors. They were covered in urine & feces. They had no food or water, and all peed brown for days due to dehydration. Thus far, the Kankakee Cty. State's Atty. John Boyd is refusing to press charges in this case. These dogs need US to be their voice, so they never, ever have to return to the squalor that they were forced to live and breed in. Please sign, and beg Mr. Boyd to do the right thing - press charges and take the dogs away from these women!!!
