The petition

Dear Vice-Provost Boardman and Dean Lythcott-Haims,

In the interest of the health and safety of Stanford University students, we, the undersigned, urge you to initiate a University policy to subsidize the cost of birth control pills. Recently, the federal government discontinued subsidies for birth control pills on college campuses nationwide. As a result, many Stanford women may find that birth control prices have become prohibitively expensive. In keeping with the University's policy of promoting health and wellness, we ask you to move forward on this issue by giving all Stanford women in need of birth control the ability to finance their prescriptions.
