Recently, establishment insiders, such as Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, and others met in private to name a write-in candidate to run against Kerry Bentivolio in the Republican Primary for Michigan's 11th Congressional District. Apparently, a candidate who pledges to only serve 3 terms, not raise the debt ceiling, and work to balance the budget is too extreme for the establishment.
