I feel it is only right that a legend such as Bert Trautmann should be honoured by having a stand named after him and/or a statue. I feel it is only fitting that such a legenary figure in the history of Manchester City Football Cluband football in general should be part of the future of the club as it moves forward. Having a stand named after him (behind the goals) with a statue of the great man would be a perfect way to honour his memory. With the club also now having a mini stadium in which the stars of the future can learn their trade, having a stand or dare I say it the stadium itself named after Bert would bring together to rich history and the future of the club together.

I am hoping to gain enough signatures to take to Manchester City.

A true world class great former City player with a unique story, who also symbolises the first international face of Manchester City.

I saw the great man play! "Big Swifty" was a legend but Bert was a worthy successor and legend also. Bert did so much for Anglo-German relations and reconciliation and I treasure the VHS I have [made for TV], of his life. Surely there is a bronze of him in action in the entrance to the Colin Bell Stand? Good luck with the Petition
