Comments: My father was the victim of elder abuse. Thank you Mr. Rooney for standing up to the injustices of the elderly. With your help we can hopefully stop the abuse around the country of our elders and bring awareness of the atrocities they are facing everyday.

Comments: It is amazing that people look at vulnerable adults as potential "marks". More amazing that some of those people are children of the elderly adults. No person should have to live in fear or without their resources as they age. We can stop elder abuse!

Comments: We need one hell of a lot more than a postage stamp and a bunch of people sitting around talking about elder abuse and financial exploitation as they have for the past 30 years. We need action and we need it yesterday ! We need our State and National Leaders to demand that elder abuse and financial exploitation be treated as a crime by our criminal justice system and that includes the most pernicious form of abuse and exploitation that is taking place under the guise of protection in guardianships and conservatorships. Elderly and disabled citizens are being targeted for guardianships because they have money and their estate are being looted by professionals while the guardians neglect them and allow them to be abused AND it all happens with the approval of the court. When are people going to stand up for justice for all including the old people in America. Over 1200 people have signed a petition to stop elder abuse and guardianship abuse at www.endguardianshipabuse.org ... many have told their stories as well.
