We the undersigned support formation of the Stampede State Recreation Area, west of Healy, Alaska. A State Recreation Area will enable citizens to continue with traditional recreational uses and to participate in management of the lands through an Advisory Group and Management Plan. This is important for the future of lands within the Denali Borough. A map of the proposed area can be viewed at http://www.denalicitizens.org/SSRA.pdf We urge consideration for including 8 Mile Lake in the State Recreation Area. 8 Mile Lake is most in need of recreational management now.
