The turntable is finally cleared for use after months of dragging our feet through administrative gridlock. It has been an exhausting road but seeing the work finally finish makes the struggle feel worth the effort. Now we just watch to make sure it keeps turning.

Please sign this petition to prove that the St Blazey Turntable is a key asset to the running of mainline steam in Cornwall. The turn table has been out of use for over 6 months now and needs to be returned to use.

A thousand signatures shows the board that this turntable is worth fighting for even when the process feels slow and exhausting. I am drained by the silence from those in charge but seeing this number keeps me moving forward.

Reaching one hundred signatures shows that I am not the only one frustrated by the silence surrounding the turntable. It has been a long road already and my energy is low but seeing your names here keeps me moving forward.

The St Blazey turntable should definately be restored so that steam engine can be turned there. Further more, how about creating a steam depot at St Blazey. It would certainly put it on the map and draw in much needed tourism and money to St Blazey and the County.

To allow a valuable and essential part of our industrial history to fall into disuse and maybe eventual closure is a MAJOR folly. In the interest of tourism and maintaining our industrial past it MUST be kept in workable condition.

have just signed the petition wont go on as you are all well aware of the problem however as I understand its a listed item, maybe the person who is running the appeal could ask the lottery heritage fund to help? shame DB/Network Rail into helping?

Anything that affects trade in Cornwall needs to be maintained, shame on DB Schenker who need to be reminded of their responsibilities towards the wider community where their company operates - not just a spreadsheet bottom line

It is a piece of railway heritage sitting as it does at the only semi roundhouse in the UK. Its use in supporting steam hauled railtours to Cornwall is paramount bringing in tourists not just on the train but making trips to see it as well.

This turntable is not only essential for the continuing operation of main line steam in Cornwall, but also to Cornwall's already fragile economy. Jobs depend on the turntable as much as the locos using it. If we lose it the whole of Cornwall loses.
