    Comments: i was paralyzed in the hospital for 3 months and unable to make a payment since i had to get a power of attorney for my daughter. I have never been late on my account and asked to have a late fee removed. I was told no and that its not their fault I was paralyzed.

    Comments: Since my card was sold to SST card services by providian with very little/no notice that this was being done- the whole deal was not handled right I have tried to keep up my payments but have recieved numerous messages from SST, have had trouble signing on to website and/or getting hold of anyone at the company and the one time I did talk to someone they were rude and unwilling to to talk to me about my card info/balance and/or payment information I am completly disatisfied with the way SSt handles everything.

    Comments: This has been a complete mess! For over the last six months I have not received one billing statement, yet get collection calls. I try to call Washington Mutual but all of my account information has transferred to SST without my knowledge. Please help!

    Comments: I can never find the site. And the interest rate was increased. Never recieve statements on time. If I dont go online and pay before hand, I would be recieving a late payment notice. I just want to have a decent credit card company. Providian did well with me, this new company is annoying.

    Comments: My account was sold earlier this year from Providian (Washington Mutual) to SST Card Services without my consenting or even advising me. My account was in good standing and I consistently made payments to them. One day I get a letter and was told my account was now with SST Card Services and that I was not to pay Providian anymore and should start paying them instead and should wait to get something in the mail. Nothing ever came until one day I started getting phone calls telling me I had to pay right away because my account was past due, and I would be charged $10 to do it over the phone. Finally when I did get a bill, I noticed that my rates were significantly higher than before and I had amassed late fees and other "funny" fees. Even though I am paying more than enough every 2 weeks, I continue to get called on the phone telling me it'd be in my interest to pay over the phone (although I believe it's just so that I can pay an additional $10) and it seems that whatever I pay gets diluted by the fact they keep hitting me with these "funny" additional charges.

    Comments: When I received my bill in May of 07 I saw charges on my bill that were not mine. I called SST and we went through the bill and I realized it was an employee of mine that used the card for personal use without my permission. The charges she made exceeded my limit on the card. Needless to say I had to pay for the extra charges. Now I can't keep up with the late fees, over limit charges and finance charges. I cancelled the card in May and can send out a 250.00 check and it still won't bring that card under the limit to get them to stop charging me fees. I am so frustrated with this company. I have called and complained but no one cares. They hang up on me and then call me back everyday of the week. Please, let's get this card out of business.

    Comments: I have the same story. I had a Providian card account that was sold to S.S.T It took them 6 months to finally get me a statement with the account number so I could pay on line. I have been harassed daily with phone calls to my work and my cell phone. They will call 7 times in a day if I don't answere my phone. I had good credit with the previous account that I had and they have ruined it. Please let's do something about this

    Comments: I too have not received statements, charged late fees and my interes has jumped high. I have contacted them by phone with out satisfaction and can not get on their web site. They tell you, that youcan conveintly pay online. That is a lie. I know because I pay alot of things via the web. By not being able to pay on line as promised I was trapped into a late payment because I pay my bills on or just before the due date because of how I get paid.

    Comments: I have experienced nothing but problems since SST took over my account. No correspondence from them in the beginning they did not answer phone calls or e-mail messages, the first thing I ever got from them was a late notice. Then I had to request a card TWICE since they never sent one to begin with. They have since lost payments, or blamed it on the postal service, my bank, etc. Now they have raised my interest rate to 32%. I have made arrangements to pay them off and communicated with them regarding a payoff amount. When I informed them that the check was cut and on it's way, SST then informed me that I had to pay more interest, even though I called to get a payoff amount. This company is nothing short of a criminal operation trying to gouge consumers.

    Comments: I mailed a payment to them on aug 3 they did not post it untill aug 17. They charged late fee and that brought account over the limit. They are very rude and nasty. I asked for copy of envolpe and was told I'm not intiled to it.

    Comments: my providian account was sold to sst without notice. At least three times I could not log onto the SST account due to technical difficulties (not on my part) and was charge a 39.00 late fee, now my interest rate in raised to 29.99%. For the most part to avoid postal delays and postage stamp cost, I pay my bills on line. Because of the way SST has their billing set up, either something is wrong with their site, which then leaves you to call which cost an additional $10.00 and if you call over a weekend, the bill is not processed until the next working day, which incurs a late fee of 39.00 in addition to the 10.00 and an interest rate increase. These fees are more than my initial payment. Now I am locked into a 29.99% interest rate. This is my estimation is extortion of which I cannot seem to do anything about.

    Comments: I too had the card originally with Providian, It was transferred to SST witholut my prior knowledge. I paid the balance off in May and did not have the need to use it unitl recently. I made a purchase on Oct 01,07 which somehow put me over my balance. It was not until Oct 08, 07 that I receive a letter dated Oct 02, 07 telling me that they are going to be closing my account in 30 days and immediately lowering my limit to $100.00. Needless to say the purchase I made on Oct 01, 07 put me over my limit. I receive at least 3 calls a day telling me that I need to pay the account to get it under the limit. I just want to get them out of my life, but I can't seem to log on to the website anymore....hmmm was this planned

    Comments: i'm not sure if this is just for MO customers but i' really tired of not being able to pay my bill because the yourcardaccount doesnt work, and so you have to have a phone charge, i'm sick of the late fees ,high interest rates and not being able to communicate with anyone....
