I was never notified that my account was sold to SST until I tried to go online & make a payment & could not access my account. I had closed my account in 2004 before SST even acquired it from Providian. Now, 3 years later & never having used this card, I am in debt to this company for over $1,000, over my credit limit! My balance just continues to skyrocket even making my payments on time. This card should have been paid off long ago especially since the account was closed in 2004! Scammers, liars & horrendous customers service! Please let me know the outcome of this petition as I was going to contact the Attorney General myself! Thank you!

267 AnonymousMy WAMU too was sold to sst without any notice or reason. My balance was under 500 and not delinquent...when I requested my new card I was told they could not send it to me until I paid it off. WHAT??? They changed my card number and yet still sent the bill with the old number, that has been changed to no help to me...I will definitely check my rate on next billing cuz even after paying over the min. I am still over 400!!!!!! and its been many months!!

276 christine h mullinsI have been charged bogus late fees and I recently recieved a call that my payment had not been recieved. So I went on line and made a new payment and placed a stop payment on the previous payment made. Now two weeks later they claimed they had posted the stop payment check and are now charged me a fee for a return check on top of the late payment fee. I spoke with a supervisor whose name is Sean who refused to wave the stop payment charge. Every month I have a problem with this company. Thank you

279 Heather BrownI am a NC card holder. Capital One sold my account to SST and I've been trying to pay them off on a 6K balance for the past 6 years! I just got it to 5K this year, but they charge me $120 finance charges the day before the balance is due, late fees on top of that and jacked my APR past 29%! How is this legal? What did I do to deserve this? I'm a hardworking person and I've been trying to take care of my credit responsibly but I can't seem to make any headway. The customer service at SST is a joke. They treat me like crap and can never answer my questions. I don't remember the last time I got a statement in the mail. I've tried to change my due date five times and was told every time I called that the "window" for changing pay dates is past - all five times I've got a different "window". These people are truly evil!

I had asked that the account br closed from the moment it was transfered before it was finally closed but if i was late with a payment I got charged a ridiculous late fee and sked to pay the past due amount along with the late fee and know matter how much I paid on this account it never seem to go lower than seven or eight hundred dollars.

282 AnonymousI had no idea so many others were having issues with SST Services. My card was also sold to this company from Providian / WaMu....without notice. Like many of you I received numerous calls throughout the day and had no idea what was going on. Also, no one ever informed me that my interest rate had jumped to 29.9%!!! That is ridiculous. My one and only goal was to get this card paid off. I went to www.yourcardaccount.com today, like I usually do, and it seems as though they are not up and running anymore. Maybe this petition worked??! Just wondering if someone else bought our accounts or this is just their way of trying to squeeze more money out of people. I'm working on transferring this balance to my other card....if I could only sign on and get my account number!
283 AnonymousI am an Iowa resident so I don't know if I can get on this petition, either, but I am willing to try. I have not used this card in over a year, but like many of you I was with WaMu until the account was sold to SST. Even though my interest is supposedly at 12.99% and I pay my bill on time every month the balance has never once decreased. I would like something done about this as you all would. This causes a great deal of stress and money that is being spent uselessly since my balance never goes down. I appreciate everyone coming together to put an end to this horrible company.
284 MIchaela MacIntyreWAMU sold my acount to SSt about a year ago , I paid my payment on line they told me I did not, Charged me the fee, and then raised my interest to 29.99 percent . i have been trying to get rid of them since. Also Ialways pay more than the min. and yet my balance does not seem tpo go down at all. The customer service rep I spoke with was rude, and prettymuch told me she would not do anything to lower the interest rate even after I told her I made the payment and it was a computer error on SST's part.

289 AnonymousI strongly agree and feel that this company uses unlawful billing practices. For example not getting statements consistently, not allowing me to login/view account online, and my credit account being sold from Providian to SST Card Services without my authorization or knowledge.

291 Colleen CaseI paid on time, but they said I didn't. I could not prove it because they don't give you a confirmation number so that you can prove your transaction. I now pay almost 30% interest. I was first through Providian then it sold to SST. Now I can't even get on line to the company, their site is down or non existant.
292 barbara loweI too was sold into slavery to SST card services YOU can not talk to them they say they service the card for another bank then they say the bank controls the interest rate but they raise it. its all a bunch of lies. My interest rate was up to 30% I paid enough to get it lowered to a 20 plus %. but they canceled my card after that, I have tried to access my account several times and cannot. I think they are doing it on purpose so they can up the rates again. or have skipped town and the bank will tarnish our credit scores. I hope this petition works to get a class action suit against them so that we can recoup some of our money they have robbed from us.

294 Linda GibbsMy Visa account was sold to SST and my intrest rate went up to 30%. I make my payments on time, and they post them later and charge me a late fee. I have had my Visa card through Providian for 5 years with no problems. Until it was sold to SST.

297 BarbaraI have been in the hospital and unable to pay my bill. My mom has tried several times to make a payment on my behalf but the SST. reps refuse to take payment. When I got out of the hospital I called SST and talked with a rep and he put me on a plan to make two monthly payments of $35 and the following month I couldn't get online to pay. When I called to find out they said your account is past due. I said it was past due because I have been in the hospital. Every single rep could careless. There names are Laura who is the manager, and Tiffany the rep. They told me the only way they would take anymore payments is over the phone and to pay $20 extra. They also said they had no records of me calling in or showing medical records but I have the proof and they kept saying no are records don't match what you are saying. So yes I am ready to sue their asses.
298 Judy NicholasI began having a problems with SST in March 2008 due to an error my bank made. My bank contacted SST and discussed their error. This made no differenct to SST and so I chose to close my account. I made a balance transfer to SST to pay off the account. Then on 4/11 I checked the account to make sure the transfer had been credited at which time I saw that it had but now there was a balance of 27.44 ((finance charge) I immediately paid the 27.44 and on 4/16 I checked the account again to make sure the 27.44 had been credited. It had but now showed a balance due of 47.74 (Finance charge) I contacted SST and was given a line of crap as to why there was now a 47.74 balance due. I told them I was not paying it and I was going to complain to the BBB and also to the credit bureau. Please let me know if this does any good Thank you!

300 TimI have never received a statement from SST after they bought my Washington Mutual account and can not access my account online. After I set up payment through my bank they continue to call and are never on the line when I pick up. They have called and not been there to talk up to ten times a day after I have set up payment.
